Ronexprim, together with our external partner, KRÜSS GmbH have the pleasure to invite you to take part in the 1st webinar:

Stood-up Drop - dewetting as a revealing surface property

Dezumidificarea suprafețelor

Widening the scale with a new method by KRÜSS

Have you ever wondered why you sometimes don‘t see a big change in wettability for process parameters such as surface treatment duration? Did you ever think that the common static or advancing contact angle does not tell you what you want to know? Then learn about dewetting measurement as a powerful alternative to wetting analysis and join our 3‑part webinar on the Stood-up Drop method.

At KRÜSS, we have developed the Stood-up Drop to measure dewetting by means of the recently receded contact angle (RRCA) as an ideal test criterion for changes in material surfaces. Join the first live event of our 3‑part Stood-up Drop webinar series! Learn how this method provides insights that help enhance your surface optimization processes.

Speakers:

Dr. Thomas Willers - Director Product & Business StrategyKruss

What know-how you will gain
   • What there is to do if the contact angle doesn’t change with the surface treatment duration, adhesion behavior, or other
parameters that are supposed to influence wettability.

   • Measuring the RRCA with a liquid jet: user-independent dewetting analysis with great ease of use.
   • Seamlessly integrating dewetting measurement when already working with a KRÜSS Drop Shape Analyzer.

Polymer Matrices: Pre-analytical Workflow Optimization

Optimizarea fluxului de lucru în etapa pre-analitică

In this webinar, methods for optimizing the pre-analytical steps prior to elemental analysis of polymer materials are presented, including the first-hand experiences of an end user demonstrating how the selection of the optimal microwave digestion technology for their lab is critical to allowing them to overcome sample prep challenges for their analyses.

The quality and performance of polymer materials requires elemental analysis in various steps of the polymer production process, from initial monomers to final products. Sample preparation is the first fundamental step in providing appropriate solutions for elemental analyses by ICP-OES and ICP-MS. Due to the variety of samples and their respective reactivities encountered by polymer labs, microwave digestion systems and protocols must not only ensure safe and complete digestion but must also be highly flexible to achieve the high-quality analyses required in the polymer industry.

In addition to the microwave digestion step, other steps of the pre-analytical workflow are discussed, along with solutions that lead to substantial improvements in laboratory operations.

Key Learning Objectives:
Understand the critical role of sample preparation in elemental analysis of polymer materials

Learn how to address the challenges in sample prep for various polymer matrices
